Beta Theta Pi Alumni

Dear Brothers and fellow Alumni,

As the recipient of the Most Distinguished Chapter Award for the past 5 semesters, the Zeta Tau Chapter of Beta Theta Pi reports these activities that were fun and reflect members’ hard work:

Beta 500

This upcoming 2008 Spring semester we are going to hold te Annual Beta 500 soapbox derby race. This event has raised a lot of money for local charities in the past. Beta 500 is still a growing philanthropy event for us and we appreciate all of your support. With your help in 2008 we will be able to make it even more successful.

Love Week

Love was in the air the week after Spring Break.  Beta Annual Love Week was outstanding. We serenaded all of the sororities and gave them beautiful flowers accompanied by our token Love Week CD’s with many cheesy/hot love songs. We ended the week by throwing our annual Anything Goes party, which featured partygoers wearing interesting costumes. We also sold athletic shorts with sorority letters on the waistband and Beta Theta Pi Love Weeks on the bottom of the athletic shorts. The ongoing tradition of seranading selected Beta Sweethearts has been upheld and continues to be held annually.

Formal

Last Spring we had formal at The Tan-tara Resort at the Meramec Caverns. In the Fall we went to the Double Tree Hotel in Chesterfield. This Upcoming spring we plan to go out of town to a place TBA.

Camp Kai

Camp Kai was held in October at our VP of Brotherhood, Jake Mueller’s, grandparents’ cabin near Bonne Terre, Missouri.  It was a blast! We played football games (Pledge Dads vs. Pledge Sons); Beta Jeopardy was played with a few physical challenges and the night ended with Candle Pass.
